Response to Government's Serious Violence Strategy

South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Dr Alan Billings has welcomed the Government's Serious Violence Strategy launched today (9 April 2018).The Commissioner was one of a small number of police and crime commissioners who recently took part in a round table discussion with the Home Secretary, Amber Rudd and the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Cressida Dick, ahead of the strategy being announced.

Road Safety Charity Supports Bereaved Families

Description
Road Safety charity Brake was able to deliver their services to bereaved families in South Yorkshire due to funding provided by the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner.Dr Alan Billings provides funding to a number of organisations as part of his commissioning budget and Brake secured £2,000 to continue their work with families whose loved ones have lost their lives on the roads of South Yorkshire.
