YOYO Campaign Springs Back Into Action

The YOYO campaign funded by the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner will be back visiting South Yorkshire schools in the coming weeks.The campaign stands for You're Only Young Once and provides media training in schools to year nine pupils and above, providing them with the opportunity to produce podcasts, radio advertisements and videos.

Residents at Judith House Women's Refuge participate in a music and song writing project

Victims of domestic abuse in Barnsley are receiving therapeutic music sessions after funding received from the Stronger Together Community Grant Scheme.Qdos Creates were successful in securing a grant of £600 to provide music sessions to residents of Judith House - a refuge for women who have left their homes in order to escape domestic abuse.

Statement from Dr Alan Billings

Dr Alan Billings, South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner said: "The stabbing of a fifteen year old boy is a matter of great sorrow for his family. It is also deeply troubling for the community and the city since it is the latest in a number of similar incidents involving knives. I cannot comment further on this case but there are some wider messages that we need to communicate to the communities of Sheffield.
