Commissioner Wright said:
“I have based my entire approach on listening to the members of the public in order to appreciate and understand their issues, and there is no better way than through a public surgery.
“In my many conversations with the people of South Yorkshire, the key messages seem to be similar, namely, a need to feel and be safer at home and in neighbourhoods. People just want to rest safe in the knowledge that the police will respond quickly and professionally when they are needed, and that should a crime be committed, culprits need to be caught and dealt with quickly and appropriately.
“I welcome the public’s views on any matter relating to policing in the county and hope they take the opportunity of dropping into one of my surgeries.”
