SYP Campaign putting a Full Stop to sexual offences

Description
If you offered someone dessert at the end of a meal but they were too full to eat it, you wouldn't force them to have it. If you offered them a lift home and they declined, you wouldn't make them get into the car. If you offered someone anything and they said no, you wouldn't then proceed to force it upon them. Sex is no different; no means no – full stop.

Commissioner Opens Keeping Safe Event in Doncaster

Description
Dr Billings opened the annual Keeping Safe Event at The Hub, Doncaster College, on Friday, 1 December.The event was organised by the Safeguarding Adults Board, chaired by Dr John Woodhouse, and brought together a range of organisations and individuals interested in safeguarding vulnerable people in the Doncaster district.

IDAS Speak Together event in Barnsley

Description
Dr Billings closed the Barnsley's Independent Domestic Abuse Service (IDAS) event at Shaw Lane Sports Club on Friday, 1 December 2017.The event way attended by employers across Barnsley as a way to 'Bring Barnsley Together' and join them in a zero tolerance approach to domestic abuse.

Doncaster Community Meeting Attended by PCC

Description
Dr Billings was invited to a community meeting at Woodlands Library in Adwick-le-Street, Doncaster on Wednesday, 22 November by Councillor John Mounsey. The meeting with local residents was also attended by police Inspector Dan McKnight. A number of issues were discussed, including concerns around anti-social behaviour in the area.

Action Open New Premises in Rotherham

Description
On Friday, 17 November the Commissioner joined John Healy MP in opening the new premises for Action in the Parkgate, Rotherham location.The new development means that Action can now provide invaluable housing and effective support for 55 young people in Rotherham.

Restorative Justice Week 2017

Description
In preparation for Restorative Justice Week, Dr Billings, South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner met with two South Yorkshire victims of crime who have both chosen to meet with their offenders on Tuesday, 14 November.At a meeting in the Commissioner's office in Sheffield, Summer Gregg from Doncaster and Martin Young from Sheffield both explained their circumstances and how Restorative Justice helped them.
