Police and Crime Commissioner Visits Yorkshire Lowland Rescue

South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Dr Alan Billings, recently paid a visit to the Yorkshire Lowland Search and Rescue Team at their Wath-upon-Dearne base.Dr Billings received a presentation about their role and how they work with police search advisors across the Yorkshire and the Humber region to aid in the search and recovery of vulnerable missing persons.

Rural Crime Discussed At Meeting with The National Farmers Union

Dr Alan Billings, the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner met members of the National Farmers' Union (NFU) to discuss rural crime and policing matters on Wednesday, 26 April.The NFU was represented by county chairman Rachel Hallos, group secretary Philip Musson and county adviser Amy Morrison. Dr Billings was accompanied by Chief Inspector Mark James, the South Yorkshire Police lead for rural crime.

Survey Demonstrates High Levels of Trust and Confidence in South Yorkshire Police

A large-scale public survey to obtain the views of hard-to-reach communities in South Yorkshire has shown a high level of trust and confidence in policing services.The independent survey commissioned by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, in partnership with South Yorkshire Police, sought the views of 4,400 people across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.
